Current term expires 12/31/17

Teri’s parents lived in Gilbert when she was born. Her mother’s family, the Clouser family, has been in the Gilbert Area for more than 100 years. Her father developed Gilbert’s first new addition, in the 1960s. Teri’s parents owned a grocery store on Main Street when she was young. This is why it is so important to her to support our local businesses.

She is single, with two sons who live in Portland, Oregon. Teri’s granddaughter is going to the University of Portland and her grandson attends the University of Oregon.

Teri graduated from Gilbert High School and attended Drake University. She is retired after working for 33 years in the printing department at Iowa State University and still enjoys using the graphic design skills she learned in classes and on the job at Iowa State.

In high school, Teri was very active in vocal and instrumental music, drama, track and cheerleading. She continues to cheer for her community. Teri is the president of the Gilbert Historical Society, our Museum director, the treasurer for the Gilbert Fire Fighters Association and on their fundraising committee. She is also on the Gilbert Days Committee and is involved with the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry which serves the Gilbert community as well as Story City and Roland.
